Since 1997, the Foundation awards a maximum of 5 Fellowships per year to students of French nationality who followed the scientific cursus of:
THE ECOLE POLYTECHNIQUE
Under the condition that they are admitted to a foreign university, with preference to a doctoral degree (PhD), but master programmes are also taken into consideration.
The pre-selection of candidates is carried out jointly with the Fondation de l’X. This is followed by an interview, in March, with the Carnot Foundation Jury, who will make the final selection.
The Carnot Fellowship can be held concurrently with subsidized loans set up by the Fondation de l’X as well as with a paid position offered by the host institute.
THE UNIVERSITÉ DE BOURGOGNE
Under the condition that their project has been accepted by foreign laboratories for one year minimum. They must also be doctors or within their second year of thesis in the Physics or Chemistry laboratories.
The pre-selection of candidates is carried out by former Carnot Fellows still working at the Université de Bourgogne. This is followed by an interview, in September, with the Carnot Foundation Jury, who will make the final selection.
Career guidance is provided with the help of our mentors who are available to answer questions. A LinkedIn group promotes a regular exchange of information. In addition, an annual meeting is organized to share ideas and experiences.
The Foundation strongly encourages interested students to contact former Carnot Fellows for additional information.
